G. Campbell Morgan 
   
(1863–1945)

He was born in Tetbury, England, and was the son of a Baptist minister. At the age of 13, he preached his first sermon. At age 15 he was preaching regularly in country chapels on Sundays and holidays.
He was ordained to the Congregational ministry in 1890. His reputation as preacher and Bible expositor grew throughout England and eventually spread to the United States.
